Return to school | Remote Education
Dear parents/carers here is a very quick message to update you on how we will remotely educate your child during the staggered return to school for those year groups that don’t start back on the 1st day (5th of Jan).
Remote learning for all students waiting to come into school in January (Staggered Return)
Teaching staff will set remote learning on classcharts for students that are waiting to come into school on Wednesday 5th and Thursday 6th of January as part of our staggered return.
These lessons could be set in one of three ways:
Pre-recorded lessons developed during Lockdown 3.0
The Oak Academy resources
You could also set normal written work
Year Groups & Method of Setting Work
Years 8, 9, 10,12
Work for Years 8,9,10,12 will be uploaded each day by 8.45am.
Year 7 to use their Autumn knowledge organisers on Wednesday 5th of Jan as they are not used to using ClassCharts.
If students are having to self-isolate beyond Friday the 7th of January then should access work set by subject heads of department.
HoDs to upload the next ½ term set of remote learning for those students to access during self-isolation. This is to ensure that staff do not have to plan and deliver two lessons for the same period.
I hope you will see that we are trying to do everything we can to ensure your child receives a high quality education whilst also ensuring that everyone is safe.
I hope you all have a great Christmas break.
Steve Rogers (Headteacher)
