500 Words Competition Winner

It is with great pleasure that the English Department announce this year’s winner of the 500 words creative writing competition – Lucy Drew of 8MJ! We run our competition in line with the national 500 words BBC writing competition and encourage all our students to submit their entry online too. Students are required to write an original and imaginative story in 500 words and Lucy certainly did just that and impressed the panel of judges which included English Language and Literature A-level students. We also want to congratulate the runners up: Ruth Woolmer of 8ML, Tarn Williams of 8YY, Kiera Whiles of 7CW, Eryn Stevens of 7CW and Amy Knill also of 7CW!
